Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are undertaken as part of your school studies.
VET in Schools courses enable you to earn credits towards a recognised VET qualification while you complete the general education curriculum or work towards your senior secondary certificate.
With VET in Schools, you can:
- Combine a vocational pathway with your studies
- Complete (or work towards) a Certificate II, III or even a Diploma level qualification
- Keep your options open to pursue further vocational education, such as our Hotel Management program or pathways into University
Students in high school, year 11 and 12 can complete a VET in School’s course that can contribute credit points towards the QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education).
Business Faculty - VET in Schools
Diploma of Business- BSB50215
Bridging course to University (available for Year II and 12 students). The Diploma of Business provides you with a strong foundation to gain employment, up-skill for a promotion, or start your own business.
Certificate III in Business - BSB30115
Prepare for the business world (available year 10,11,12 students). The Certificate III in Business course opens your world to pathways across many job roles, including: Customer Service Adviser, Data Entry Operator, General Clerk, Payroll Officer and Word Processing Operator.
Hospitality Faculty - VET in Schools
These qualifications provide foundation skills to gain entry into the hospitality or tourism industry. Specific skills in either housekeeping, barista, reception, customer service in tourism industry are just to name a few.

The Certificate II in Hospitality course opens your world to pathways across many job roles, including:
Front Office Assistant,
Porter and Room Attendant.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in many tourism and travel industry sectors as well as, a diversity of employers, including: retail travel agencies, tour wholesalers, tour operators, attractions, cultural and heritage sites and small tourism business requiring multi-skilled employees.
